SEA OF DREAMS has come a long way since our first event on Pier 35 fifteen years ago! This is where the name was created, standing there looking at the sea … and dreaming of what could be, if we really put our hearts into it.

We had some amazing decor for those early events, but nothing like what we have this year!

Sea of Dreams NYE 2014 “VibrantSea” will feature 12 of the most fantastical dreamscapes yet to be imagined, from superhero masters of their craft: Inflatable Arts, Blasthaus, Zomandic, Cardboard Institute of Technology, Oh Yeah Toys, All Of It Now Visuals, Another Planet Entertainment, ArtIsMobilUs, Audiowaska, pARTy/SCIENCE, Spaceshaping … and last but not least… our own anonEvents!

This year’s art installations include: 60 psychedelic cyberpods, 40+ giant inflatable orbs, 12 lava lanterns, 13 unique video projection systems, 3 custom sound & lighting stage designs, 13 art zones, 3 “zomadic zomes,” 10 fabric sculptures, 40 tribal monkey chains, 700 feet of jungle light vines, 75 op pop art polka dots, 20 coral chandeliers, 5 BALLON DROPS and 1 GIANT OCTOPUS!

1) Inflatable Arts is hanging dozens of the one and only Bill “Inflatabill” Kennedy‘s signature and vibrantly-colored glowing hot air corsets, fishnet baskets, and Mongolian orbs in an aerial abstraction over the main auditorium. Website: inflatiblearts.com

2) Blasthaus is mapping a trifecta of spherical screens with custom digital imagery by legendary masters of video art and electronic dance music promoters. Website: blasthaus.com

3) Zomadic‘s Rob Bell, Mad Dog & Co. are erecting 3 of their playa-famous sacred “zomes” - The Bodhicitta, The DayStar, and The Crystal Chalet - each of which will server as temples of bliss where you can recharge and connect intimately with fellow dreamers. Also Zomadic will be bringing along their beloved Aztec monkey chains. Website: zomadic.com

4) The Cardboard Institute of Technology is creating a giant double-headed octopus to loom above Thievery Corporation, Little Dragon, A-Trak and Dillon Francis as they rock the Main Stage. Website: cardboardinstitute.blogspot.com

5) Oh Yeah Toys is inflating a forest of color-changing crystal trees on The Main Stage and throughout the venue to illuminate our sky traveler’s paths through the cosmos. Website: ohyeahtoys.com

6) All Of It Now Visuals is orchestrating a video symphony of light wands and imaginary worlds with their seamless multi projection system, installing a shards of light stage complete with video mapping and color blast beams. Website: allofitnow.com

7) Another Planet Entertainment‘s ambient enchantress, Judy Heyman, is stretching magnificent fabric swags and swashes of light throughout the space to soften and sexify our palace of pleasure. Website: apeconcerts.com/

8) anonEvents‘ Joegh Bullock, is chief curator of all these fantastical dreamscapes at the same time, he is installing dozens of his own new vibrant creations - color trifecta lava lanterns, an inspirational ladder reflection pond, pop-op polka dots, and a VIP FantaSea World, all laced with his own brand of whimsical chaos. In collaboration with Carly Caryn of Eye For Style Arts (Website: eyeforstyle.net) they have co-created “The Hallway of Hallucinations”… a portal of psychedelic cyberpods, a chandelier of coral bouquets, and jungle light vines. 9) ArtIsMobileUs is bringing 2 live mural painters, 4 bus-sized mural art walls, 4 art gallery’ zones and a live “paint your own dream” wall. Website: artismobilus.com

10) Audiowaska is custom-building an Aztechnology kinetic sculpture stage featuring LED lighting effects with rotating wheels of hypnotic fascination. This will be mark the premiere of their latest festival creation. Facebook: facebook.com/audiowaska

11) pARTy/ SCIENCE is once again in association with Catalysts Arts (Website: catalystarts.com) hosting the A-MUSEum - a playground of face and body painters, roving refreshment fairies, gold heart award making crafts, and energetic social instigators. pARTy/SCIENCE, and Mark “Spoonman” Petrakis is also curating the CirQularious! performance sides-shows and carnaval-inspired shenanigans just as they do every year at Sea of Dreams. 12) Spaceshaping is bringing in 12 18-foot spiral hoop shapeshifter sculptures in black and white stripes and red bolts of light for its debut at this year’s Sea of Dreams. Website: spaceshaping.net

As you can see, we have taken this already extra extravagant pARTy experience to the next level and beyond! Don’t be fooled by imitations, SEA OF DREAMS is the original … the one with collaborative chain reactions at its nuclear core!
