Plaza De Funk has been a staple in the dance community for the past 5 years and it looks like nothing will slow his way to the top of the music world. Since moving to London in ’05, he has released award-winning records receiving huge support from the likes of Fatboy Slim, Elite Force, Plump DJs, Rico Tubbs & Black Noise. ‘Got The Funk’ on West Records and ‘Back Home’ EP on Mantra Breaks both received the ‘Sureplayer’ status in DJ Mag, his ‘Do It’ record was licensed on the recent Global Underground mix by the Plump DJs & the track ‘Push ‘n’ Pull’ was played several time on Radio 1 by Annie Mac & Annie Nightingale as well as getting ‘Single of the Month’ in IDJ. The Italian doesn’t quite stop there though.

In ’08 he was nominated for 2 of the categories at the Breakspoll awards; Breakthrough Producer and Breakthrough DJ. Plaza walked away from the ceremony clutching the Best Breakthrough Producer award and hasn’t had the chance to look back since. In the past 2yrs Mr Funk has played clubs & festivals around the world & back again stopping off in Australia, the US, China, Russia, Latvia, Belarus, endless dates across Europe & of course back home in the UK at Glastonbury, Glade, Chew The Fat!, Fabric & Ministry of Sound.
