The gang at Peak Experience Productions is once again hard at play collaborating w/ Anon Salon and Madison House to design an audience-participatory New Year's celebration of truly intergalactic proportions. The theme of this year's event, "Seven Heavens," presents us with magical opportunities to align with 7 heavenly bodies that are visible to human eyes: the mysterious Moon, beautiful Venus, expressive Mercury, passionate Mars, exuberant Jupiter, sovereign Saturn as well as our compassionate and tirelessly devoted Mother Earth. In turn, our New Year's festival venue is being transformed into a magnificent space station dancehall/temple and you are all invited to attend as Intergalactic Ambassadors of Goodwill. Our mission is to create a vibe that is yummy enough to unite benevolent beings from across the Universe to celebrate with us on New Years Eve. In the face of such glorious orbits, relevance and interconnection are ours to envision, and to even recreate as we are able to imagine them. That is what Sea of Dreams has always been - a ritual-based celebration, where we can collectively re-imagine ourselves, our community and our collective and even unconscious future. "Sea of Dreams - 7 Heavens" is your invitation to step up and swing out with us as we explore some of the more macroComical aspects of our collective story. Once again, we will draw inspiration and entertainment from all ends of the artisTrick & musiCool spectrum, so as to raise the richest, most diverse and fantastic pair of evenings possible. We will also, once again, and with more enthusiasm than ever, be involving our creative local arts community to help us to cook up startling new creations and celebrations. This year, we will build on Midnight Miracles past, and raise for the first time two unique, choreographed and talent-jammed midnight circus spectacles. One of them, called "Cirqularious!", will feature many of our most incredible performers and magic-makers. Your participation is humbly requested. As it was last year, the big stages and major musical acts will anchor the event to both sides of the broad Concourse. We have several other surprises in store this year that we hope will burn a hole in your party hats. Why not, eh? We are San Francisco after all, and if the rest of the world seems a little slow to shake to our drumbeat, well, there's nothing stopping us from shaking it for ourselves and shaking it good and strong - shaking it right into outer space. We will take up the astrological compass and align ourselves with those 7 heavenly bodies that have always been the mythic companions of human destiny; the mysterious Moon, beautiful Venus, expressive Mercury, forceful Mars, exuberant Jupiter, sovereign Saturn as well as our compassionate and tirelessly devoted Mother Earth. Like mad jugglers, we're going to pitch and fling these luminous balls in as many magical and unpredictable ways as we can imagine. But doing more than that requires your help. Beyond welcoming you and your friends to join us on either or both of the two nights, we are also doing our best to make this website and the overall planning for this year's event, a Fool order of magnitude more friendly, useful and fun for you, our fellow Writ-You-All dreamers.
