2. EVENT INFO:
After a hugely successful inaugural event last year, Madison House, Anon Salon, and Peak Experience Productions are once again joining forces or the Seventh Annual Sea of Dreams New Year’s Eve event.
Like last year, a gale of cultural forces will unite for two super freaky nights at the San Francisco’s Concourse Exhibition Center for the biggest New Years weekend gathering on the west coast. Expect three stages hosting an incredible roster of live bands, cabaret and circus acts, DJ's and dance collectives, performance troupes, and more. All set within multiple thematic environments, Sea of Dreams promises something for people of every tribe.
Musical acts performing on the three stages include the The String Cheese Incident (playing two full sets each night / www.stringcheeseincident.com), the joyous a capella harmonies of Zap Mama (www.zapmama.be/), San Franciso's rapturing funkateers, ALO/ Animal Liberation Orchestra (www.alomusic.com), British nu-school breaks producer Tipper (www.tippermusic.net), revolutionary underground artist Bassnectar (bassnectar.net), modern day electro-minstrel DJ Mark Farina (www.markfarina.net), the down-tempo trip-hop dance music of Lotus (www.lotusband.com), live electronic hipsters Pnuma Trio (www.pnumatrio.com) and plenty of others still to be announced.
Performance troupe and dance collective participants include Seattle's reknown, Circus Contraption, Superstars of Bellydance, The Indigo Belly Dance, Mystic Family Circus, Gamelan X, from the Yard Dogs Road Show, Black & Blue Burlesque, plus Anon Salon’s Circularious! - (a New Year's Circus Opera Spectacle), and many more to be announced.
