DJ MALARKEY |

| Malarkey is an old Irish slang word used in the 1920's as an expression equivalent to jive, gibberish, or nonsense. All guff aside; Patrick Malone (aka DJ Malarkey) is one of the hardest working DJ's to recently emerge out of Santa Rosa. Upon his return to Sonoma County (northern California) in 2004, having graduated from recording arts school in Los Angles, he quickly jumped back into the club circuit of his hometown. It didn't take long for his funky broken-beat sound to kick up dust, catering to both lounge and dance floors alike. Patrick has the keen ability to ascend fluidly from an early hour lounge funk, to peak time break beat shakers making him incredibly dynamic when compared to most club dj's. Knowing when and where to go with the music, he is quickly evolving as a multi-genre artist while becoming the most in demand DJ to start the night off and set the energetic tone for those who follow him. He has landed several weekly residencies in the bay area and recently joined forces with long time Burning Man collective, the Mystic Beat Lounge. Patrick's introduction to electronic music was in 1998 in San Francisco. Many say that from the moment he walked into the dark and dingy warehouse and heard electronic music for the first time, everything became silent and a beam of light ascended upon the dj. One month later he had turntables set up in his garage. Website: www.myspace.com/djmalarkey | ||
