Our theme this year, “Metamorphoseas”, presents us with an opportunity to get out of old ways of seeing and doing things and to embrace the one inevitable law of living systems - change. What better time to get your change on than the cusp of a new year? And a year that cannot help but have great significance for all the peoples of the world.

One obvious change since we began Sea of Dreams on the cusp of a new millennium is the increased connectivity of diverse and geographically distant populations. Technology is a mirror that continually reflects changes in our thinking. Technologies cry out to be used. Responsibility for how we use them rests not with the technology but with ourselves. How we choose to use ourselves - to what purpose we put ourselves. to what movment we align our hopes and our energies - is ultimately up to each of us.

This change then is most evident within us, and in how we imagine the course of our life's dream. Sea of Dreams was conceived as a expansive container for a multitude of visions... like stars in the sky, the initimacy of our sun is not diminished by the fact that there are billions of other suns out there.

So then, towards the great new thing we march... evolution's dancing foot soldiers. Look around you - you are not alone.. there are others who struggle with questions very similar to your own. By ourselves, it is a lonely journey. But with others, it is a constant surprise. We encourage you to make that change. Whether or not you join us on NYE, we invite you to share in the human call to see, to forgive and to love. Do you want to see change have an effect? Give yourself to such a simple and difficult truths. Then get yourself dressed up, call up your friends and let's make this YOUR cause for celebration.

Once again, like snake charmers, we try and seduce the magic in the motion that reveals itself in all it's beauty. But doing more than that requires your help. Beyond welcoming you and your friends to join us, we are also doing our best to make this website as well as our homes on MySpace, Tribe and Facebook a "fool" order of magnitude more friendly, useful and fun for you, our fellow Writ-You-All dreamers.
